Whether big, small, furry, slimy or scary animals are your thing, there is something for everyone within the 128 acres of Chester Zoo.
Awh snap! - We currently don't have tickets for this attraction... but you can still learn all about Chester Zoo below...
With more than 35,000 animals to meet and learn about, Chester Zoo is a fantastic location for family days out.
Go nose to nose with the huge Andean bears, or see if you can spot the vibrant Golden Mantella frogs among the leaves. The Humboldt penguins are always fun to watch, particularly at feeding time and the meerkats are equally fascinating.
Of course, days out at the zoo are only complete with watching the big cats in action - especially if you can actually catch them awake - and the jaguars and Asiatic lions at Chester are no exception.
For a bit of time out, don't forget to explore Chester Zoo's beautiful botanical gardens, where there are so many more things to do and see. Within the Enrichment Garden, you'll find an array of plants and herbs being grown for the animals, giving their habitats more life and colour, to encourage foraging and natural feeding behaviours. The Sunken Garden, meanwhile, is the ideal place to relax to the sounds of running water and be inspired by the seasonal delights which surround you.
Kids will also love the Lazy River boat trip and Treetop Challenge as well.
