Perfect for Families

We had such a brilliant time at Planet Ice Solihull. I brought my two children for a weekend skate and they were buzzing from start to finish. The staff were incredibly warm and patient, especially when helping the little ones get their skates on. The music created such a fun atmosphere and the ice was in great condition. We ended our visit with hot chocolate in the café, which was the perfect finish to a really lovely family day out.

Fantastic Learn to Skate Experience

I joined the adult Learn to Skate programme and honestly couldn’t believe how much progress I made in just a few sessions. The coaches explain everything so clearly and make you feel completely at ease, even if you’re nervous stepping onto the ice. There’s a really supportive, friendly vibe and everyone cheers each other on. It’s the first time I’ve ever actually looked forward to a weekly activity!

I came with a group of friends for a public skate session and we had such a laugh. The atmosphere was fantastic — upbeat music, colourful lights, and loads of space to enjoy ourselves. The team were so welcoming and made the whole experience feel really safe and relaxed. It’s definitely somewhere I’d recommend if you’re looking for something different to do around Birmingham.

Brilliant for Parties

We booked a birthday party for our daughter and it was absolutely superb. Everything was so well organised from the moment we arrived. The party host was enthusiastic, great with the kids and kept everything running smoothly so we could just enjoy watching the fun. The children loved being out on the ice together, and the food afterwards went down a treat. It’s one of the best birthday parties we’ve ever arranged.

Yes, wheelchairs are permitted on the ice. We recommend contacting rink in advance to confirm any additional requirements for a smooth experience.

We suggest arriving 15-20 minutes before your lesson to allow enough time to put on your skates and prepare for the session.

If you miss a lesson, it is typically non-refundable, and we cannot guarantee any rescheduled or makeup lessons. In rare cases, a makeup lesson may be possible, subject to coach and course availability, but this is not guaranteed.
