The Eden Project

Take your family on a sensory tour of the world - without ever leaving the UK.

Slightly cooler is the Mediterranean Biome, with 1,000 varieties of plant and a herbal aroma in the air. The 20-acre outdoor gardens are full to the brim with plants, sculptures and play equipment, with terrific vistas.

The SkyWire is England's longest zip wire, covering 660 metres and travelling at speeds of up to 60mph, while SkyTrek is a high ropes trekking course with intricate crossings. There's also Vertigo, Britain's first 360-degree swing, Gravity, a giant swing and The Drop, a leap of faith from 10 metres over a cliff edge.

Eden Project's cafes sell breakfasts, lunches, afternoon teas and seasonal menus, and there is ample parking - just walk to the entrance or use the park-and-ride bus. There are three free fast charging points for electric cars, or you can pay to use Superfast charging points. If you come by bike or on foot, your entry price is reduced.
