Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience York

If you’ve ever dreamed of stepping into a painting, this is where you can!

Any Van Gogh fan will tell you, there’s something about his paintings that make you want to step inside them. Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience lets you do just that – with cracking projections and an emotional soundtrack, you get to wrap yourself in the worlds of Sunflowers, The Red Vineyard at Arles, and so much more. Our personal favourite’s The Starry Night, with its swirling sky, crescent moon, and spinning stars – truly dreamy stuff.

The 360-degree exhibition lets you stroll around, relax on chairs, and forget about everything for a while as all your senses are stuffed to the seams with Vincent’s mind-blowing creativity. When you’re ready to surface, the Art & Life section provides lots on info on what made him tick. Additionally, at The Studio, you can have a crack at your own painting and get it projected on the walls.

Monopoly Lifesized

Snapping up shedloads of property. Bankrupting friends and family. Buying your way out of jail. Monopoly has an uncanny knack for making us turn ruthless.

Monopoly Lifesized brings all the important bits of the game up to real-life scale, in a space right in the middle of London. The rules are basically the same as you’re used to at home, except you choose from four different themed boards:

The Luxury Board: Takes you in inside Mr Monopoly’s bank and onto casinos and fancy auctions, with a laser challenge included.

The City Board: Featuring famous London landmarks and a dance-off challenge.

The Classic Board: A race against the clock via places like Fleet Street and Whitehall.

Own It All Board: Race around with moneybags, steal paintings until you run the city.
