What is the minimum age for the Tour of Chocolate?

The minimum age for the Tour of Chocolate is 6 years old. This age restriction is in place for several important reasons: <ul> <li>The environment includes items that could be hazardous to very young children, such as an electric oven </li> <li>Visitors need to be able to listen to and follow health and safety instructions </li> <li>The tour is designed for primary school-age children and above, rather than preschool children with different learning and entertainment needs </li> <li>Parts of the tour involve listening to a guide for up to 15 minutes at a time, which may be difficult for younger children </li> <li>The chocolate-making counter is around 90cm high, which may be hard for smaller children to reach </li> </ul> Please note: Visitors who bring children under the age of 6 will not be refunded, as tickets cannot be resold.

Most visitors spend around 45–60 minutes on the Tour of Chocolate. If you’re combining it with a class or tasting experience, allow extra time.

There’s no special dress code, but comfortable shoes and casual clothing are recommended. Some areas of the tour involve standing or moving around the venue.

No. Outside food and drink are not permitted inside the experience. Refreshments are available during the chocolate tastings included in the tour.
