Days out in Windsor

A trip to Windsor Castle is a must for most visitors. The world’s oldest and biggest occupied castle is pretty impressive – you might even see a Royal or two if you’re lucky. And kids can build their own version at Legoland resort, then stay overnight in a Ninjago or pirate-themed room.

But what else is good in this royal stomping ground?

You can mountain bike and see deer at Windsor Great Park and Swinley Forest. Take a Duck Tour through streets and rivers on an amphibious WWII vehicle. Or catch a panto at Windsor’s Theatre Royal. Oh yes you can.

Hungry? Treat yourself to a pub lunch at the Crown & Cushion. Delish.

A top-notch kids destination and not bad for a romantic weekender, Windsor’s worth a look.
