Days out in Kingston upon Thames

With top brands like Jo Malone and The White Company and independents like Banquet Records, Kingston upon Thames is a bit of a shoppers paradise. After you’ve maxed-out your credit card, recover with drinks at a cool riverside restaurant or captain an electric picnic boat (it’s a thing here).

But what about kids’ stuff?

Chessington World of Adventures is just 6 miles down the road and has a zoo and Sea Life as well as the park rides. And if they’ve got gaming withdrawal? Plug them into high-powered PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles at Belong Gaming for a couple of hours. Job done.

Hampton Court Palace is another hotspot with something for everyone too. Gorgeous grounds. A magic garden where kids meet mythical beasts. And actual jousting. Ooft.

Palaces. Picnic boats. PlayStations. Kingston’s got varied weekend breaks sewn up.
