Days out in East of England

Lots of exciting stuff. Essex has tigers at Colchester, sharks at Southend and TOWIE stars at Sugar Hut. Norfolk’s Great Yarmouth and Hunstanton have ice cream and seaside fun. And there’s Venice-style punting on Cambridge’s River Cam. Don’t demand the guide sings opera though. Unless you want to get wet. Love festivals? Latitude, First Light and Spill cover top tunes, storytelling, and experimental theatre. If you fancy yourself as a bit of a Jamie Oliver, taste sea-fresh oysters and explore the vineyards and craft breweries. Then get your stately home fix at Hatfield House and its gorgeous gardens.

Bedfordshire’s no slouch when it comes to fun either. Zip through the trees at Go Ape Woburn. Glide over Dunstable Downs. Or (even better) sink margaritas at Bears & Tales.

The East of England – flat countryside, bubbly people!
